Pinellas County Artificial Reef Guide
Pinellas County has 13 artificial reef sites from 3 to 38 miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and 1 in Tampa Bay. These reefs are designed to attract many different types of fish like grouper, snapper, mackerel, amberjack, cobia, barracuda, and bait fish. The reef sites can have a base diameter of up to 100 feet and reach up to half the water's depth.
